Remembering David Simon: A Tribute Concert

10/27/2018 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM ET

Description

David Simon (1925 – 2017) was a musician, composer, conductor, educator, and nationally renowned arts administrator.  He was brought to Baltimore in 1979 to be the Founding Director of the Baltimore School for the Arts where he established a high standard of excellence for both faculty and students during his 16-year tenure.  He was a cherished, long-standing and hard-working Board member of Community Concerts at Second since its earliest days and chaired our Russell C. Wonderlic Competition for over a decade.  In appreciation of David’s dedication to our series, we are honored to celebrate his life, art, music, and profound impact on the Baltimore community.
